About me

Hi, my name is Armand Dijcks and I'm a cinematographer and photographer based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. As a person I'm naturally curious about the world in general, and in my work I'm always looking for ways to create innovative visuals or develop new techniques. The traditional division between still and moving images seems very artificial to me, and I constantly try to blend these two worlds into a new visual language. In the process, one has to let go of established conventions in both the still photography and the cinematography world, and get back to the essence: capturing light in a way that tells a compelling story or captures an emotion.
